§ 5-224. Registration forms and fees.

  • (a)

    Applications for registration shall be made in such form and in accordance with such instructions as may be provided by the City of Kendallville and shall include at least the following information:

    (1)

    The name and address of applicant.

    (2)

    The names and addresses of all owners of the multi-tenant dwelling.

    (3)

    The name, local address and all telephone numbers of the responsible local agent.

    (4)

    The number of tenant units in each multi-tenant dwelling.

    (5)

    Appointment of a responsible local agent signed by both the owner (showing authorization of the agent) and by the responsible local agent (showing acceptance of the appointment).

    (6)

    The complex name, address and apartment number, where applicable for each multi-tenant dwelling and tenant unit occupied.

    It will be the responsibility of the owner to notify the City of Kendallville of any changes to the registration information in writing by certified mail within thirty (30) days of any change.

    (b)

    The fee of twenty-five dollars ($25.00) for each multi-tenant dwelling registered plus two dollars ($2.00) per tenant unit shall be paid at the time of registration.

    (c)

    In the registration information (subsections (a)(1)—(6) above), if a post office box is given as the mailing address, there must also be a physical address given. Upon registration, the City of Kendallville shall inform applicants of any known violations, and of any certificate of compliance requirements.
